When to buy a ticket
Buy your ticket before boarding. You need a ticket for single journeys, return journeys, or a season pass (monthly or quarterly).
A ticket is also required to enter a platform or use a foot over bridge.
Where to buy
Tickets for Central, Western, and Trans-Harbour lines are available at any station on those lines. Metro and Monorail tickets are available at their respective stations.
How to buy
- Counter — Pay cash at the station ticket window
- UTS App — Paperless ticketing for Central and Western lines. Register with your mobile number. Download UTS App →
- Smart Card — Load credit and validate at ATVMs before each journey
- Season Ticket — Available at stations and on the UTS app for monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly passes
Ticket validity
- Card ticket: journey must start within 1 hour of the time stamped
- Return ticket: valid until midnight of the following day (Saturday purchases valid until Monday midnight)
- Season tickets: 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year
